Our Story
Luffa Haru brings gift sets of beautiful essentials made to last.
We begin each day with our senses.
A natural luffa sponge can change how a home looks and feels.
The natural fibre brings a sense of wholeness and beauty to the kitchen. It foams gently, rinses cleanly, dries fully and keeps its form for the next time.
Pure cotton fabric made through centuries-old tradition finishes the daily routine by the sink and brings a sense of calm continuity to the home.
Luffa Haru was born in the heart of The Hague, the Netherlands in 2025 to share the simple joy of using luffa at home, every day.
Luffa is a plant in the cucumber family. Its fruit is a gourd that matures and dries into a natural fibre, used as a washing-up sponge for centuries. Haru means day in Korean.
Our vision is to establish sustainably grown luffa as the daily kitchen sponge in Dutch homes. We work towards this by offering curated gift sets of timeless essentials for the home.

Our Materials
Each of our products is chosen for their natural beauty, effectiveness and longevity.
Luffa
Our unbleached luffa sponge comes directly from a farm in Galicia, Spain with organic agricultural practices. Naturally beautiful and soft to touch, it effectively cleans all items in the sink and all surfaces while lasting for many months.
Sochang
Our sochang cloth is woven from unbleached pure cotton yarns without optical brighteners by a traditional manufacturing process in Ganghwa, South Korea. Gentle to the skin and calming in soft white, it is an exceptional kitchen cloth made to last for years.
Bojagi
Our bojagi, made of pure cotton, is a traditional Korean textile used to wrap gifts and everyday objects. Designed to be reused, it carries meaning beyond a single occasion.
